Center for Awareness and Preventive Education

Welcome to the website for A Short Story of Life and The Lifetime Cost of Chew tobacco education programs. These research-based programs were developed to provide a low-cost strategy to help children, adolescents and adults understand the effects of tobacco use.

These programs are designed to be implemented by schools and other education facilities. The programs include a curriculum with teacher-guided activities, pre and post-tests and a special calculator designed to inform students about the effects of tobacco use. The ultimate goal of these programs is to assist schools in motivating students to lead tobacco-free lives.
